forward momentum (cycle #1)
lithograph, walnut ink, oil, graphite, on paper
22” x 30”
you are hurting me you are hurting me you are hurting me.
you’ve been doing it so long it’s part of your skin.
you don’t even understand the things my hands and heart can do.
you are hurting me you are hurting me you are hurting me.
you don’t understand, you don’t trust what i can do.

hypnagogia
22” x 30”
gesso and graphite on paper
when it comes on it feels like
an antenna picking up waves from the radio tower
it starts with pulsing through my lips,
as if hit in the mouth, tongue searching for the wound
whispering in my ears and on the back of my neck
frightening,
slow, thick like molasses
[music: beequeen, image: pequalsmv, words: velveteenrabbit]
22” x 30”
oil and walnut ink on paper
we are both experiencing a loss.
[words: velveteenrabbit, image: pequalsmv, music: thom yorke]
“like kicking feet,” oil on canvas, 43 1/3” x 31 1/2”
small satellites circling each other
thin membranes pulled tight
when we touch it’s not a home-coming but violent and tumultuous, we break apart
like glass or spun sugar
ocean water caught in our eyelashes and
sea salt melting into our tongues
